It is important to check for blocked gutters and downpipes as this may be causing serious problems and may result in defects in the interior of the building. Regular maintenance will ensure that the gutters and hopper heads and down pipes are performing satisfactorily and draining any water away from the building.

Rising damp can be treated with a damp proofing system called Electro Osmosis. A wire such as titanium is strung along and into a wall then subjected to a low voltage charge. This prevents dampness rising up a wall. Electro Osmosis is seen as an alternative to chemical damp proofing and is easily concealed behind skirting boards. It can also be applied to a range of wall types that are often difficult to damp proof, such as thicker walls, and those in protected and listed buildings.

A. A Thermal Image Survey will highlight where the cold air is getting in and then a suitable insulation material can be recommended. There are many on the market today.
Due to poor ventilation there is black mould in this shower room. If you have any queries relating to mould please do not hesitate to contact us.
